Since I am working tomorrow night I shan't be around to do this meme, so tonight you get some extra reading! Aren't you excited!
5. By age, who is your youngest character? Oldest? How about “youngest” and “oldest” in terms of when you created them?
Age: I've noticed my characters seldom fall below 15 years old, but there is this one character in the dragonverse who doesn't have a name or a set design but is the major motivation for everyone else's actions (does that even count as a character). She's a half-dragon of maybe 4, and the last child of Emperor Erinyes (the pioneer of Dragon crossbreeding) out of over a hundred Dragonkin (he had a massive fear he wouldn't have any heirs) and after everyone had this huge fight (political and otherwise) for the throne, the little kid became empress with some help but being human-dragon, she probably didn't live to see her 5th birthday anyway. Oh those crafty dragons. If we're talking about named characters, I can only think of Alannis Valeth - sure she's a 16-year-old reaper working for the Moirae, but her actual age is only a few months old.
The oldest character is easier; anybody who resides in the afterlife is definitely hundreds of thousands of years old. The Moirae I mentioned earlier were sent to ensure God's world was in order, and they precede our physical time AND thrones don't count unless they're sentient so that's as old as it gets.
Creation: Barring the craptacular sailor senshi/friend-based characters I made in my youth and the character which is now my namesake and avatar, the oldest creation would go to the characters in PseudoFF7Verse. The main characters comprise of:
- The Heroine: An amnesiac lance-wielding rebel with a hero complex.
- The Wraith: An amnesiac emotionless green-haired girl who's good at magic.
- The Martial Artist: A country girl working for the evil corp but has no amnesia!
- The Mechanic: A depressive guy whose right arm is a mutatable weapon a la Clover who has holes in his memory.
- The Unaged: An amnesiac conscript found in a nuclear wasteland with mysterious powers.
- The Silver-Haired Girlâ„¢: Even more mysterious than the last guy!
They do have names, but I kinda think they're awful now so I'm trying to redesign them...AGAIN. Did you know it's terribly fun to revisit your old charas and see how much you've changed? Try it! :D
The youngest creation would be a youth named Otogi Perlman. Yeah it's a strange name but for a young man who doesn't want to be forgotten and goes about changing that in extreme ways. The name first invaded my head after GOING FOR DIRU KYO YOU PROPHET YOU and the story has been twisting and folding around ever since. I would most certainly like to write this for Nano this year, if anything. Hint, hint.

6. Where are you most comfortable writing? At what time of day? Computer or good ol' pen and paper?
I picture myself on a Saturday morning curled up in a comfy chair at Coffee Bean with a cute little netbook, the scrollbar constantly shrinking from the stream of words flowing forth from my fingertips, my headphones drowning out the outside world. Occasionally I will sip my latte and a cute bespectacled guy (maybe with floppy brown hair) across the room will give curious, furtive glances at this cutely mysterious geeky girl whom he has been watching for the past 2 hours but I won't notice until he pulls up a chair and strikes a conversation and so begins a budding romance through love of the written word!
However, reality is this:
- My secondhand notebook is old and huge and can't stay unplugged for more than an hour. Less if I listen to music or turn up the brightness SO I CAN SEE WHAT I WRITE.
- My bed is too damn far from the nearest plug point, so I use my notebook in front of my PC.
- I don't drink latte and tea bags shouldn't cost that much. Also I drink like a camel.
- I am also too cheap to get a cute netbook or headphones.
- I have lousy attention span so I will spend the evening surfing the net and TELLING people I am APPARENTLY writing.
- Words flow better when I hold a pen. Sadly my hand will also hurt writing that much, and word counts are a pain if I'm doing NaNo that way.
- I work every Saturday morning, and it is easier to conquer a country than apply for leave.
- By the time I hit my writing stride, it is TWO IN THE FREAKING MORNING.
Feel free to discern my answer from all this~
