I have to agree with Kitmun, it's a lovely piece but I find the context a bit missing?

The writing is sophisticated but not enough so to be boring. You've managed to potray the arrogance and the grovelling faithfulness of the writer well, though we are left to wonder if he might be just a touch insane in his fervour.
Again, the only thing that is puzzling is the last two paragraphs, but it seems like you're taking the characters from a series? (My impression from Kitmun) Which then makes this a fanfic? *winks then runs!*
