I guess it can cause trouble if your work people are viewing the blog - hence my LJ and FB are friends only. But if you're just talking about patients, not identifying them is pretty easy, just don't mention names or specifics that will identify them.

My LJ isn't linked to both my blog or facebook, but I'd rather not take any chances. My FB though...the Project 365 pics had some patient names that I found interesting, so I set all the pics to private for the time being (even though I'd set it to Friends Only prior) until I figure out how to handle the lot.

I think it's better than you keep it this way, since a lot of people tend to easily take offense to what others write about them even if they might misunderstood it or the writing doesn't even concern them.
